¹⁴ They are appointed as a flock for Sheol; Death shall be their shepherd; And the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; And their beauty shall be for Sheol to consume, That there be no habitation for it.

³ And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I make, saith Jehovah of hosts.

² Or know ye not that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world is judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

²³ For I know that thou wilt bring me to death, And to the house appointed for all living.

¹⁹ Drought and heat consume the snow waters: `So doth' Sheol `those that' have sinned.

²⁰ The womb shall forget him; The worm shall feed sweetly on him; He shall be no more remembered; And unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree.

¹¹ When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, Thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: Surely every man is vanity. Selah

²² until the ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Most High, and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

³⁰ that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom; and ye shall sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

⁴ And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and `I saw' the souls of them that had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and such as worshipped not the beast, neither his image, and received not the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they lived, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

⁵ The rest of the dead lived not until the thousand years should be finished. This is the first resurrection.

²⁶ And he that overcometh, and he that keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give authority over the nations:

²⁷ and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of the potter are broken to shivers; as I also have received of my Father:

³⁶ Even as it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

³ And let us know, let us follow on to know Jehovah: his going forth is sure as the morning; and he will come unto us as the rain, as the latter rain that watereth the earth.

¹⁸ But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.

³ But thou, O Jehovah, knowest me; thou seest me, and triest my heart toward thee: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.

¹³ If I look for Sheol as my house; If I have spread my couch in the darkness;

¹⁴ If I have said to corruption, Thou art my father; To the worm, `Thou art' my mother, and my sister;

¹³ They spend their days in prosperity, And in a moment they go down to Sheol.

²⁶ They lie down alike in the dust, And the worm covereth them.

¹⁷ The wicked shall be turned back unto Sheol, Even all the nations that forget God.

⁵ For his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a life-time: Weeping may tarry for the night, But joy `cometh' in the morning.

¹¹ Thou hast made us like sheep `appointed' for food, And hast scattered us among the nations.

³ He subdueth peoples under us, And nations under our feet.

⁷ and the dust returneth to the earth as it was, and the spirit returneth unto God who gave it.

¹⁰ I said, In the noontide of my days I shall go into the gates of Sheol: I am deprived of the residue of my years.

¹¹ I said, I shall not see Jehovah, `even' Jehovah in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.

²¹ Is not their tent-cord plucked up within them? They die, and that without wisdom.
