⁷ Let them melt away as water that runneth apace: When he aimeth his arrows, let them be as though they were cut off.

⁵ And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men; and they chased them `from' before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them at the descent; and the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.

¹⁰ The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; He shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: The desire of the wicked shall perish.

³ Who have whet their tongue like a sword, And have aimed their arrows, even bitter words,

⁷ Therefore shall all hands be feeble, and every heart of man shall melt:

¹⁵ Then were the chiefs of Edom dismayed; The mighty men of Moab, trembling taketh hold upon them: All the inhabitants of Canaan are melted away.

⁹ and she said unto the men, I know that Jehovah hath given you the land, and that the fear of you is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land melt away before you.

¹⁰ For we have heard how Jehovah dried up the water of the Red Sea before you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were beyond the Jordan, unto Sihon and to Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.

¹¹ And as soon as we had heard it, our hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more spirit in any man, because of you: for Jehovah your God, he is God in heaven above, and on earth beneath.

¹⁰ And even he that is valiant, whose heart is as the heart of a lion, will utterly melt; for all Israel knoweth that thy father is a mighty man, and they that are with him are valiant men.

¹⁴ I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.

⁷ But God will shoot at them; With an arrow suddenly shall they be wounded.

⁸ So they shall be made to stumble, their own tongue being against them: All that see them shall wag the head.
