⁵ Even thou, O Jehovah God of hosts, the God of Israel, Arise to visit all the nations: Be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah

²⁰ And he erected there an altar, and called it El-elohe-israel.

⁶ But `it is' not as though the word of God hath come to nought. For they are not all Israel, that are of Israel:

²⁸ For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh:

²⁹ but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

⁷ Are ye not as the children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith Jehovah. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt, and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?

²⁷ Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

²⁸ Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

²³ Yet, Jehovah, thou knowest all their counsel against me to slay me; forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from thy sight; but let them be overthrown before thee; deal thou with them in the time of thine anger.

¹¹ When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off; the women shall come, and set them on fire; for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have compassion upon them, and he that formed them will show them no favor.

¹⁰ Hear the word of Jehovah, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah.

⁸ O Jehovah God of hosts, hear my prayer; Give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah

⁴ O Jehovah God of hosts, How long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?

¹⁵ Let death come suddenly upon them, Let them go down alive into Sheol; For wickedness is in their dwelling, in the midst of them.

³ For strangers are risen up against me, And violent men have sought after my soul: They have not set God before them. Selah

¹⁵ The nations are sunk down in the pit that they made: In the net which they hid is their own foot taken.

¹² If a man turn not, he will whet his sword; He hath bent his bow, and made it ready.

¹³ He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; He maketh his arrows fiery `shafts'.

⁵ Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them, for I Jehovah thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of them that hate me,

¹⁵ And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, Jehovah, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name forever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

¹³ For judgment `is' without mercy to him that hath showed no mercy: mercy glorieth against judgment.
