²² Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: Remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee all the day.

¹⁸ Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O Jehovah, And that a foolish people hath blasphemed thy name.

¹⁹ Arise, O Jehovah; let not man prevail: Let the nations be judged in thy sight.

²⁰ Put them in fear, O Jehovah: Let the nations know themselves to be but men. Selah

¹ The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity; There is none that doeth good.

⁴ I said unto the arrogant, Deal not arrogantly; And to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

⁵ Lift not up your horn on high; Speak not with a stiff neck.

⁹ Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name; And deliver us, and forgive our sins, for thy name's sake.

¹⁰ Wherefore should the nations say, Where is their God? Let the avenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed Be known among the nations in our sight.

⁵⁰ Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; How I do bear in my bosom `the reproach of' all the mighty peoples,

⁵¹ Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O Jehovah, Wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

⁵ Now therefore, what do I here, saith Jehovah, seeing that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them do howl, saith Jehovah, and my name continually all the day is blasphemed.
