⁹ There shall no strange god be in thee; Neither shalt thou worship any foreign god.

¹² Jehovah alone did lead him, And there was no foreign god with him.

¹² I have declared, and I have saved, and I have showed; and there was no strange `god' among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and I am God.

³ Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

⁴ Thou shalt not make unto thee a graven image, nor any likeness `of any thing' that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

⁵ Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them, for I Jehovah thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of them that hate me,

¹⁴ Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples that are round about you;

²⁰ If we have forgotten the name of our God, Or spread forth our hands to a strange god;

¹¹ Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of Jehovah which he loveth, and hath married the daughter of a foreign god.

⁵ For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or on earth; as there are gods many, and lords many;

⁶ yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we unto him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we through him.
