³¹ What then shall we say to these things? If God `is' for us, who `is' against us?

⁶ Jehovah is on my side; I will not fear: What can man do unto me?

¹⁹ And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee, saith Jehovah, to deliver thee.

¹¹ In God have I put my trust, I will not be afraid; What can man do unto me?

⁴ Ye are of God, `my' little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.

¹¹ But Jehovah is with me as a mighty one `and' a terrible: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail; they shall be utterly put to shame, because they have not dealt wisely, even with an everlasting dishonor which shall never be forgotten.

¹⁷ No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Jehovah, and their righteousness which is of me, saith Jehovah.

⁴ In God (I will praise his word), In God have I put my trust, I will not be afraid; What can flesh do unto me?

⁹ Only rebel not against Jehovah, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence is removed from over them, and Jehovah is with us: fear them not.

¹ Jehovah is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

² When evil-doers came upon me to eat up my flesh, `Even' mine adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.

³ Though a host should encamp against me, My heart shall not fear: Though war should rise against me, Even then will I be confident.

²⁹ Happy art thou, O Israel: Who is like unto thee, a people saved by Jehovah, The shield of thy help, And the sword of thy excellency! And thine enemies shall submit themselves unto thee; And thou shalt tread upon their high places.

⁷ For the Lord Jehovah will help me; therefore have I not been confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame.

⁸ He is near that justifieth me; who will content with me? let us stand up together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.

⁹ Behold, the Lord Jehovah will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? behold, all they shall wax old as a garment, the moth shall eat them up.

¹¹ For Jehovah God is a sun and a shield: Jehovah will give grace and glory; No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

¹ After these things the word of Jehovah came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, `and' thy exceeding great reward.

²⁸ and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand.

²⁹ My Father, who hath given `them' unto me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch `them' out of the Father's hand.

³⁰ I and the Father are one.

⁴⁵ Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a javelin: but I come to thee in the name of Jehovah of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.

⁴⁶ This day will Jehovah deliver thee into my hand; and I will smite thee, and take thy head from off thee; and I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day unto the birds of the heavens, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel,

⁴⁷ and that all this assembly may know that Jehovah saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is Jehovah's, and he will give you into our hand.

¹ God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

² Therefore will we not fear, though the earth do change, And though the mountains be shaken into the heart of the seas;

³ Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, Though the mountains tremble with the swelling thereof. Selah

⁴² And all these kings and their land did Joshua take at one time, because Jehovah, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.
