¹ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

^{2 Ref} Speak to the children of Israel, and take of them rods, one for each fathers' house, of all their princes according to their fathers' houses, twelve rods: write you every man's name on his rod.

^{3 Ref} You shall write Aaron's name on the rod of Levi; for there shall be one rod for each head of their fathers' houses.

^{4 Ref} You shall lay them up in the tent of meeting before the testimony, where I meet with you.

^{5 Ref} It shall happen, that the rod of the man whom I shall choose shall bud: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against you.

⁶ Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and all their princes gave him rods, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.

^{7 Ref} Moses laid up the rods before Yahweh in the tent of the testimony.

^{8 Ref} It happened on the next day, that Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and put forth buds, and produced blossoms, and bore ripe almonds.

⁹ Moses brought out all the rods from before Yahweh to all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

^{10 Ref} Yahweh said to Moses, Put back the rod of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the children of rebellion; that you may make an end of their murmurings against me, that they not die.

¹¹ Thus did Moses: as Yahweh commanded him, so did he.

^{12 Ref} The children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, Behold, we perish, we are undone, we are all undone.

^{13 Ref} Everyone who comes near, who comes near to the tent of Yahweh, dies: shall we perish all of us?

¹ And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

⁹ And Moses brought out all the rods from before Jehovah unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

^{10 Ref} And Jehovah said unto Moses, Put back the rod of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the children of rebellion; that thou mayest make an end of their murmurings against me, that they die not.

¹¹ Thus did Moses: as Jehovah commanded him, so did he.

^{12 Ref} And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we perish, we are undone, we are all undone.

^{13 Ref} Every one that cometh near, that cometh near unto the tabernacle of Jehovah, dieth: shall we perish all of us?

¹ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

^{3 Ref} And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.

^{4 Ref} And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.

^{5 Ref} And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.

⁶ And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.

^{7 Ref} And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.

^{8 Ref} And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

⁹ And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

^{10 Ref} And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.

¹¹ And Moses did so: as the LORD commanded him, so did he.

^{12 Ref} And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.

^{13 Ref} Whosoever cometh any thing near unto the tabernacle of the LORD shall die: shall we be consumed with dying?
