^{2 Ref} My soul desired, yea, it hath also been consumed, For the courts of Jehovah, My heart and my flesh cry aloud unto the living God,

^{3 Ref} (Even a sparrow hath found a house, And a swallow a nest for herself, Where she hath placed her brood,) Thine altars, O Jehovah of Hosts, My king and my God.

^{4 Ref} O the happiness of those inhabiting Thy house, Yet do they praise Thee. Selah.

^{5 Ref} O the happiness of a man whose strength is in Thee, Highways `are' in their heart.

^{6 Ref} Those passing through a valley of weeping, A fountain do make it, Blessings also cover the director.

^{7 Ref} They go from strength unto strength, He appeareth unto God in Zion.

^{8 Ref} O Jehovah, God of Hosts, hear my prayer, Give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

^{9 Ref} Our shield, see, O God, And behold the face of Thine anointed,

^{10 Ref} For good `is' a day in Thy courts, O Teacher! I have chosen rather to be at the threshold, In the house of my God, Than to dwell in tents of wickedness.

^{11 Ref} For a sun and a shield `is' Jehovah God, Grace and honour doth Jehovah give. He withholdeth not good To those walking in uprightness.

^{12 Ref} Jehovah of Hosts! O the happiness of a man trusting in Thee.

^{2 Ref} My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of Jehovah; My heart and my flesh cry out unto the living God.

^{3 Ref} Yea, the sparrow hath found her a house, And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, Even thine altars, O Jehovah of hosts, My King, and my God.

^{4 Ref} Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: They will be still praising thee. Selah

^{5 Ref} Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; In whose heart are the highways `to Zion'.

^{6 Ref} Passing through the valley of Weeping they make it a place of springs; Yea, the early rain covereth it with blessings.

^{7 Ref} They go from strength to strength; Every one of them appeareth before God in Zion.

^{8 Ref} O Jehovah God of hosts, hear my prayer; Give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah

^{9 Ref} Behold, O God our shield, And look upon the face of thine anointed.

^{10 Ref} For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, Than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

^{11 Ref} For Jehovah God is a sun and a shield: Jehovah will give grace and glory; No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
