^{1 Ref} And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Now dost thou see that which I do to Pharaoh, for with a strong hand he doth send them away, yea, with a strong hand he doth cast them out of his land.'

^{2 Ref} And God speaketh unto Moses, and saith unto him, `I `am' Jehovah,

^{3 Ref} and I appear unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, as God Almighty; as to My name Jehovah, I have not been known to them;

^{4 Ref} and also I have established My covenant with them, to give to them the land of Canaan, the land of their sojournings, wherein they have sojourned;

^{5 Ref} and also I have heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, whom the Egyptians are causing to serve, and I remember My covenant.

^{6 Ref} `Therefore say to the sons of Israel, I `am' Jehovah, and I have brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and have delivered you from their service, and have redeemed you by a stretched-out arm, and by great judgments,

^{7 Ref} and have taken you to Me for a people, and I have been to you for God, and ye have known that I `am' Jehovah your God, who is bringing you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians;

^{8 Ref} and I have brought you in unto the land which I have lifted up My hand to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, and have given it to you -- a possession; I `am' Jehovah.'

^{9 Ref} And Moses speaketh so unto the sons of Israel, and they hearkened not unto Moses, for anguish of spirit, and for harsh service.

¹⁰ And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,

^{11 Ref} `Go in, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he doth send the sons of Israel out of his land;

^{12 Ref} and Moses speaketh before Jehovah, saying, `Lo, the sons of Israel have not hearkened unto me, and how doth Pharaoh hear me, and I of uncircumcised lips?'

^{13 Ref} And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and chargeth them for the sons of Israel, and for Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt.

^{14 Ref} These `are' heads of the house of their fathers: Sons of Reuben first-born of Israel `are' Hanoch, and Phallu, Hezron, and Carmi: these `are' families of Reuben.

^{15 Ref} And sons of Simeon `are' Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul, son of the Canaanitess: these `are' families of Simeon.

^{16 Ref} And these `are' the names of the sons of Levi, as to their births: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari: and the years of the life of Levi `are' a hundred and thirty and seven years.

^{17 Ref} The sons of Gershon `are' Libni, and Shimi, as to their families.

^{18 Ref} And the sons of Kohath `are' Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel: and the years of the life of Kohath `are' a hundred and thirty and three years.

^{19 Ref} And the sons of Merari `are' Mahli and Mushi: these `are' families of Levi, as to their births.

^{20 Ref} And Amram taketh Jochebed his aunt to himself for a wife, and she beareth to him Aaron and Moses: and the years of the life of Amram `are' a hundred and thirty and seven years.

^{21 Ref} And sons of Izhar `are' Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri.

^{22 Ref} And sons of Uzziel `are' Mishael, and Elzaphan, and Sithri.

^{23 Ref} And Aaron taketh Elisheba daughter of Amminadab, sister of Naashon, to himself for a wife, and she beareth to him Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

^{24 Ref} And sons of Korah `are' Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph: these `are' families of the Korhite.

^{25 Ref} And Eleazar, Aaron's son, hath taken to him `one' of the daughters of Putiel for a wife to himself, and she beareth to him Phinehas: these `are' heads of the fathers of the Levites, as to their families.

^{26 Ref} This `is' Aaron -- and Moses -- to whom Jehovah said, `Bring ye out the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt, by their hosts;'

^{27 Ref} these are they who are speaking unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the sons of Israel from Egypt, this `is' Moses -- and Aaron.

²⁸ And it cometh to pass in the day of Jehovah's speaking unto Moses in the land of Egypt,

^{29 Ref} that Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying, `I `am' Jehovah, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I am speaking unto thee.'

^{30 Ref} And Moses saith before Jehovah, `Lo, I `am' of uncircumcised lips, and how doth Pharaoh hearken unto me?'

^{1 Ref} And the Lord said to Moses, Now you will see what I am about to do to Pharaoh; for by a strong hand he will be forced to let them go, driving them out of his land because of my outstretched arm.

^{2 Ref} And God said to Moses, I am Yahweh:

^{3 Ref} I let myself be seen by Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as God, the Ruler of all; but they had no knowledge of my name Yahweh.

^{4 Ref} And I made an agreement with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their wanderings.

^{5 Ref} And truly my ears are open to the cry of the children of Israel whom the Egyptians keep under their yoke; and I have kept in mind my agreement.

^{6 Ref} Say then to the children of Israel, I am Yahweh, and I will take you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians, and make you safe from their power, and will make you free by the strength of my arm after great punishments.

^{7 Ref} And I will take you to be my people and I will be your God; and you will be certain that I am the Lord your God, who takes you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.

^{8 Ref} And I will be your guide into the land which I made an oath to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it to you for your heritage: I am Yahweh.

^{9 Ref} And Moses said these words to the children of Israel, but they gave no attention to him, because of the grief of their spirit and the cruel weight of their work.

¹⁰ And the Lord said to Moses,

^{11 Ref} Go in and say to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, that he is to let the children of Israel go out of his land.

^{12 Ref} And Moses, answering the Lord, said, See, the children of Israel will not give ear to me; how then will Pharaoh give ear to me, whose lips are unclean?

^{13 Ref} And the word of the Lord came to Moses and Aaron, with orders for the children of Israel and for Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to take the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

^{14 Ref} These are the heads of their fathers' families: the sons of Reuben the oldest son of Israel: Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi: these are the families of Reuben.

^{15 Ref} And the sons of Simeon: Jemuel and Jamin and Ohad and Jachin and Zohar and Shaul, the son of a woman of Canaan: these are the families of Simeon.

^{16 Ref} And these are the names of the sons of Levi in the order of their generations: Gershon and Kohath and Merari: and the years of Levi's life were a hundred and thirty-seven.

^{17 Ref} The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, in the order of their families.

^{18 Ref} And the sons of Kohath: Amram and Izhar and Hebron and Uzziel: and the years of Kohath's life were a hundred and thirty-three.

^{23 Ref} And Aaron took as his wife Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab, the sister of Nahshon; and she gave birth to Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

^{24 Ref} And the sons of Korah: Assir and Elkanah and Abiasaph: these are the families of the Korahites.

^{25 Ref} And Eleazar, Aaron's son, took as his wife one of the daughters of Putiel; and she gave birth to Phinehas. These are the heads of the families of the Levites, in the order of their families.

^{26 Ref} These are the same Aaron and Moses to whom the Lord said, Take the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt in their armies.

^{27 Ref} These are the men who gave orders to Pharaoh to let the children of Israel go out of Egypt: these are the same Moses and Aaron.

²⁸ And on the day when the word of the Lord came to Moses in the land of Egypt,

^{29 Ref} The Lord said to Moses, I am the Lord: say to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, everything I am saying to you.

^{30 Ref} And Moses said to the Lord, My lips are unclean; how is it possible that Pharaoh will give me a hearing?

^{1 Ref} Yahweh said to Moses, "Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh, for by a strong hand he shall let them go, and by a strong hand he shall drive them out of his land."

^{2 Ref} God spoke to Moses, and said to him, "I am Yahweh;

^{3 Ref} and I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty; but by my name Yahweh I was not known to them.

^{4 Ref} I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their travels, in which they lived as aliens.

^{5 Ref} Moreover I have heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered my covenant.

^{6 Ref} Therefore tell the children of Israel, 'I am Yahweh, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments:

^{7 Ref} and I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God; and you shall know that I am Yahweh your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

^{8 Ref} I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it to you for a heritage: I am Yahweh.'"

^{9 Ref} Moses spoke so to the children of Israel, but they didn't listen to Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.

¹⁰ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

^{11 Ref} "Go in, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land."

^{12 Ref} Moses spoke before Yahweh, saying, "Behold, the children of Israel haven't listened to me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, who am of uncircumcised lips?"

^{13 Ref} Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and gave them a charge to the children of Israel, and to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

^{14 Ref} These are the heads of their fathers' houses. The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi; these are the families of Reuben.

^{15 Ref} The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the families of Simeon.

^{16 Ref} These are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari; and the years of the life of Levi were one hundred thirty-seven years.

^{26 Ref} These are that Aaron and Moses, to whom Yahweh said, "Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their hosts."

^{27 Ref} These are those who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt. These are that Moses and Aaron.

²⁸ It happened on the day when Yahweh spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,

^{29 Ref} that Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, "I am Yahweh. Speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I speak to you."

^{30 Ref} Moses said before Yahweh, "Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh listen to me?"
