^{1 Ref} To the Overseer, `On the Gittith.' A Psalm of David. Jehovah, our Lord, How honourable Thy name in all the earth! Who settest thine honour on the heavens.

^{2 Ref} From the mouths of infants and sucklings Thou hast founded strength, Because of Thine adversaries, To still an enemy and a self-avenger.

^{3 Ref} For I see Thy heavens, a work of Thy fingers, Moon and stars that Thou didst establish.

^{4 Ref} What `is' man that Thou rememberest him? The son of man that Thou inspectest him?

^{5 Ref} And causest him to lack a little of Godhead, And with honour and majesty compassest him.

^{6 Ref} Thou dost cause him to rule Over the works of Thy hands, All Thou hast placed under his feet.

^{7 Ref} Sheep and oxen, all of them, And also beasts of the field,

^{8 Ref} Bird of the heavens, and fish of the sea, Passing through the paths of the seas!

^{9 Ref} Jehovah, our Lord, How honourable Thy name in all the earth!

^{1 Ref} > Yahweh, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth, Who has set your glory above the heavens!

^{2 Ref} From the lips of babes and infants you have established strength, Because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.

^{3 Ref} When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, The moon and the stars, which you have ordained;

^{4 Ref} What is man, that you think of him? The son of man, that you care for him?

^{5 Ref} For you have made him a little lower than God,{Hebrew: Elohim} And crowned him with glory and honor.

^{6 Ref} You make him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:

^{7 Ref} All sheep and oxen, Yes, and the animals of the field,

^{8 Ref} The birds of the sky, the fish of the sea, And whatever passes through the paths of the seas.

^{9 Ref} Yahweh, our Lord, How majestic is your name in all the earth!
